Distillery Tours through the Weekend

All weekend, we'll open house to show production demonstrations.  You'll see how our award winning spirits are made from scratch, right here in Loudoun's first legal distillery since Prohibition.  We'll walk you through the process of mashing, fermentation, distillation, aging, and bottling.  And if you show up at one of our tasting times, you'll even have the opportunity to sample our wares!

Local Food Festival!

This year, we are celebrating the great bounty that Loudoun County has to offer with local food being served all day Saturday.

We will be roasting three heritage Guinea hogs (a breed that was common in the days of the colonies) from Lo'doun Hollow Homestead in Taylorstown.  These are animals that have been raised on Catoctin Creek spent rye mash, so they truly are a unique local offering!

We'll be serving pulled pork sandwiches, side dishes in collaboration with Chef Chris Edwards from Patowmack Farm, and local buns from Larry Kilbourne, a local baker.

The price will be $10 per plate, $5 for kids.  Food will be first come, first served, and when it's gone, it's GONE!

On May 19 and 20, Catoctin Creek Distilling Company will take part again in the Loudoun County Spring Farm Tour.

Visit the first family-owned micro distillery in Loudoun since before Prohibition. See this working distillery in production, including a 400 liter custom-made Kothe still and condenser. Tours will highlight the process of making distilled spirits, including fermentation, distillation, aging and bottling. At Catoctin Creek, high quality organic spirits and liqueurs are our passion.

We will have tours and tastings throughout the day, according to our normal tasting schedule.  We'll be open on Sunday too, using Saturday's tasting schedule for Sunday.  We'll have some special things in store this year, including some local food offerings!  It should be a fun  and informative day!

Catoctin Creek is very proud to support the Preakness Party at Morven Park, with all proceeds benefiting Loudoun Therapeutic Riding, which was formed in 1974 to empower and improve the lives of people with cognitive, psychological and physical disabilities through the benefits of equine assisted activities and therapies.

Along with a number of fine local wineries, including Fabbioli Cellars and North Gate Vineyards, we will be pouring our spirits for all to enjoy.

Join us for the Sippers Club cocktail hours at the 9 1/2 Lounge, above Fellini's #9 in Charlottesville.  We'll have custom-made cocktails featuring all three of our main Catoctin Creek spirits, and you'll get the opportunity to meet and speak with Scott Harris, the distiller and founder of Catoctin Creek.

Did you know that liquor was actually a very common medicine during the Civil War?  Why not join us for an evening of cigars, whisky, history, and food, as we "self medicate" ourselves with some lovely Catoctin Creek spirits!

Join us for a special evening at the historic Pry House Field Hospital Museum.  The evening will include tastings of our Catoctin Creek spirits, plus heavy hors d'oeuvres, and hand-rolled cigars, for those who partake.  Museum staff will be on hand to bring the history to life.  This should be an amazing evening!
