From the reviews:
Mosby's Spirit - Clear with a platinum hue. Bright aromas of toasted pumpernickel rye, powdered sugar and tarragon with a white pepper high note with a supple, round dryish medium-to-full body and a grainy, safflower oil, starfruit, and peppery alcohol finish. A gentleman's moonshine. 85 points - Highly Recommended - Silver
Roundstone Rye - Pale amber color. Aromas of burnt marshmallow, banana yogurt, roasted walnut, mace, and rye bread dough with a round, spry dryish medium body and Naugahyde, vanilla, and peppercorn finish. Wild and wooly, but entertaining. 87 points - Highly Recommended - Silver
The Beverage Testing Institute was founded in 1981 with the objective of producing fair and impartial wine reviews for consumers. Today, this philosophy still holds true. Over the years, their buying guides have appeared in the Wine Enthusiast, Restaurant Hospitality, The New Yorker Magazine, Wine & Spirits, International Wine Review, Epicurious.com, All About Beer, and many others.
"We are absolutely tickled to be receiving these awards," said founder and co-distiller Scott Harris. "BTI is one of the most respected names in beverage reviews, and we're very happy to get any praise for our little whiskys." Mr. Harris is the Vice President and General Manager at Catoctin Creek, a family run "mom and pop" operation he and his wife, Becky Harris, started in 2009.
