Catoctin Creek Distillery Store Grand Opening
Purcellville, Virginia – Catoctin Creek Distilling Company will celebrate the grand opening of their distillery store starting Friday, July 1 through Sunday, July 3. Due to a recent change in the Virginia state law, the distillery is now able to sell their spirits on-site, much in the same way as a Virginia ABC store. (Tastings at the distillery are still not allowed.)
The distillery will open its doors on Friday morning at 6am to begin receiving customers. Tours will be given throughout the day and all weekend, and a live band will perform at the distillery on Saturday afternoon. The distillery will be open Friday from 6am - 4pm, Saturday from 10am - 4pm, and Sunday from 1pm-4pm.
"We're hoping for a very festive atmosphere for the weekend," says Scott Harris, co-founder and Vice President of the distillery. "We've worked very hard to get this change to the Virginia law, and this weekend, we just want to celebrate a little, and maybe sell a few bottles! It will be a great way to kick off July 4th weekend."
