Solar Powered Spirits

Prospect SolarIn 2013, we installed a 41kWh solar array from Prospect Solar.  As a child in the 1970's, Scott enjoyed reading Popular Science and dreamed of a day when he could have solar power in his life.  Today, that dream is a reality.

Our solar plant offsets about 85% of electrical usage in the distillery. This means we are burning less coal and natural gas. On very sunny days, the solar plant generates the equivalent of five households of electricity and actually returns energy to the public grid for others to use.

What's more, the entire system was manufactured in the U.S.A.
