The Art of the Cocktail is BACK!
Catoctin Creek is proud to present, our ELEVENTH year of this six-part educational series on the art of the cocktail.
NOW ONLINE OR IN-PERSON!
Due to popular demand, we now offer this class either IN-PERSON at the distillery, or ONLINE via Zoom. You will have the choice whether to come in and enjoy our warm hospitality, or sit in the comfort of your home and make the drinks. Either way, it will be lots of fun!
Here are the logistics of the class format:
- Just $39 per person to sign up (in-person), or $19 per person for online.
- Three drinks included that you make yourself
- Everything you need is provided for the in-person class!
- If you are online, you'll get a shopping list and Zoom link the Monday before the class.
- Just come to have some fun!
The Class:
After much demand, we are BACK!
Starting January 3, and for six weeks every Friday, Scott Harris, our Founder and General Manager, will be leading this midwinter series with a host of brand new cocktails. This year's class will explore the history of the cocktail starting in the early 1800's and moving through to Prohibition. Join Scott for a lively session, with equal parts learning, drinking and fun!
Classes will run every Friday night at 7pm at the distillery or online via Zoom. Ingredients will be provided for you, and the lessons will be fun as ever. We expect lots of interaction and questions and good times. It's a drinks class, after all!
Classes this season will follow the following categories:
- Jan 3 - The Old Fashioned - Old Fashioned, Maple Cherry Old Fashioned. Walnut Old Fashioned
- Jan 10 - Early Gin Cocktails - Gin Punch, Tom Collins, The Monkey Gland
- Jan 17 - Vermouth-based Cocktails - Manhattan, Martinez, Martini
- Jan 24 - New Orleans Cocktails - French 75, Brandy Crusta, Sazerac
- Jan 31 - Colonial American Cocktails - Mint Julep, Modern Whisky Daisy, Peach Cobbler
- Feb 7 - Toddies and Hot Cocktails - Hot Toddy, Hot Apple Punch, Hot-Buttered Rye
IN-PERSON: Tickets are $39 per person for the lessons, and everything will be provided for you to make your own cocktails at the distillery.
ONLINE: Tickets are $19 per person for the lessons, and a shopping list and Zoom link will be provided to you on the Monday before the class.
In case of inclement weather, we will reschedule the classes for the following weeks in February or March, as needed.
