Press Release: Last Chance for Ragnarök Rye - Oderus Edition!

| News 2024
Jizmak from GWAR says, "DRINK RAGNAROK RYE!"

Only 300 bottles remain! And then they're gone forever!

PURCELLVILLE, VA. (April 24, 2024) - - - Just when we thought it was all gone, we stumbled upon 300 more bottles of Ragnarök Rye - Oderus Edition! Available ONLY at www.ragnarokrye.com.

I was minding my own business, strolling through the distillery on a normal workday, when I noticed a pattern in the bricks that I hadn't seen before. I explored the bricks with my fingers and must have tripped a control wire. With a dusty "swoosh," the bricks pivoted to reveal a secret panel with a single red button inside.

I couldn't resist. I pushed the red button, which gave a satisfying CLICK. Then the entire wall slid away before me, revealing a dusty staircase to a dark basement below.

Cautiously descending the wooden stairs, I was aware of dankness around me. Water droplets could be heard in the distance: "plink, plink, plink." Then, I heard a "scuttle, scuttle, ker-PLUNK!" I knew then I was in the presence of RATS!

Bravely, I continued descending into the darkness, pulling out my phone to use the flashlight app, and winding the cobwebs up with the clipboard in my other hand. (I often carry a clipboard.)

As I came to the end of the stairs, I looked around to see a small chamber containing an old coal furnace, with a pile of coal next to it. To my amazement, there were 50 cases of Ragnarök Rye stacked neatly beside the coal pile.

How had these gotten here? I had no idea. I checked my clipboard, and could find no record of them at all. The serial numbers didn't match anything in our records! And yet, when I opened a bottle to taste it, it was GOOD RYE WHISKY.

Somehow, these bottles had traveled through time, and been deposited here. Perhaps it was the space-based shenanigans of those guys from GWAR. I think we may never know.

But the whisky they left behind is now available for sale to you. These are the last 300 bottles left on Earth, and when they're gone, they're gone forever, making them true collector's items!

The Oderus Edition whisky, if you recall, honors the 10th anniversary of the passing of Oderus Urungus. The 93-point rated rye whisky was matured in white oak, cherrywood and sugar maple staves, and then finished in a rum cask. This is fantastic whisky, and comes with a limited edition label drawn by Oderus himself, and a pewter bar top of Oderus Urungus.

Last call for Alcohol!! Hail Oderus!
