On February 14, Catoctin Creek will celebrate 16 years of business!!  That day, Founder's Day (also known as St. Valentine's Day), we will release our annual allotment of Rabble Rouser Bottled-in-Bond Rye Whisky.

Called one of "the best new American Rye Whiskeys of 2022" by Maxim, and certainly one of the only on that list that is affordable, this is a release you do not want to miss!

Distilled from 100% rye and bottled in bond, the Rabble Rouser differs from its cousin, Roundstone Rye, in that it is distilled at a lower proof, allowing lots of earthy goodness from the grain to come through in the spirit. The whisky is aged for SIX years, making it among the oldest craft whiskey in the United States presently.

"Where Roundstone Rye is sort of restrained and elegant," say Scott Harris, founder of the distillery, "Rabble Rouser is more unruly and vivacious."

Tasting notes
Nose: spiced maple with notes of cinnamon, anise, and orange pomander
Palate: Mulled citrus with peach and spiced caramel notes
Finish: Lingering sweet dark honey and white pepper.
